Super Charge your spiritual growth

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of others in your community?

How can a single person truly serve the world and have a positive, life-changing impact on others?

Doesn’t being spiritual mean hours of meditation, cut off from civilization? Isn’t it impractical in the modern world, something that works only for a select few?

Whilst the answers to the first two questions are hopefully ‘yes’… and an emphatic ‘yes, they really can!’ it might surprise you to learn that spirituality is actually for everyone. It’s a continuous, non-negotiable way of life because whether we are consciously aware of its existence or not, we are all treading the spiritual path – just at many different stages depending on our very individual soul development. Something which is as unique as a fingerprint.

With the recent lockdown and the pandemic putting a temporary pause on our normal ways of life, it’s only natural that many of us will have spent time reflecting on the various aspects of our lives; that many of us are feeling organically drawn to the aspect of goodwill, charity, and helping others. Perhaps more so than we ever have been before.

All of this goes hand in hand with the Golden Age we are entering, as humanity as we move further away from the Dark Ages and into Aquarius.

And right now, as we are moving through the powerful full moons of April, May (which incorporates the important Wesak period), and June, there are many ways we can focus on boosting our spiritual growth. Indeed this is one of the best moments of the year to dedicate ourselves to doing so through world service since the effects are tremendously powerful.

These acts can be big and small (a large donation to a homeless charity or baking a cake for an eldery neighbour). They come in all shapes and sizes (volunteering for a food bank or running a free class to share your knowledge of a skill). The possibilities are endless, the sky’s the limit -making giving feel like fun in the process.

The emphasis is very much on evoking community spirit and reaching out to others outside of our homes and circles of families and friends, not to overlook being there for our nearest and dearest, of course. But these acts of regional, national and international goodwill all have one thing in common: they are heart-centred with no expectation of return.

However, those on the spiritual path, many great religions and new age thinkers know that in giving we receive… in fact, this is an important universal law that is necessary for our spiritual balance as individuals, as vital as the air we breathe. It’s no coincidence then that we are getting these impulses to be charitable and to practice loving kindness in as many ways as we can. They benefit the recipients as much as they benefit us. In turn, those who receive love and kindness are vibrationally raised and inspired by its blessing. And so the cycle begins.

One small gesture of help, one random act of kindness truly can travel across the globe, lifting humanity. Our loving thoughts when coupled with action are that powerful.
