The True Power of a ‘healthy’ relationship

As we get deeper into the Autumn months, it is natural to start taking extra steps to maintain a strong immune system and with Covid-19 still in circulation, this is a priority for many people. Selfcare is often reported as a vital ingredient in keeping our immune systems healthy. Many of us will be focusing on aspects such as exercise, nutrition, and sleep – all of which are important but do we consider how the health of our relationships impacts our physical health and therefore our immunity to viruses and disease?

Many people believe that the state of our emotions plays a direct role in our physical health and immune system. The mind-body link is so powerful that it is worth investing in personal self-care, looking after mental health and understanding how better to manage our thoughts and emotions.

For many people, the factor that can cause the most emotional turbulence is other people. Consider how different relationships make an impact on us?  Are there people in life that are challenging to be around?  Are there people that create feelings of irritation and anger?  Are there those that uplift,  bring positivity and a genuine feel-good factor?

Here are three powerful  ways to promote healthy relationships:

Choose Wisely:

Learn to notice and become aware of how different people radiate different energy.  Try and spend time with the people that laugh, lift your spirits,  are happy, enthusiastic and energising to be around. These people will do us the world of good and help us to feel more optimistic, which in turn will strengthen our immune systems.

In these times of social distancing,  make the most of modern technology to keep ‘close’ to these people, we still benefit from their positive energy, even if they are sitting many miles away.

Learn to Forgive:

Anger is a very strong emotion that can have a profound impact on our physical body, literally changing every cell.  Notice the tension that builds in the body through anger or how we feel depleted after an angry outburst. To help clear this emotion from our system, one of the most effective ways is to practise  ‘forgiveness’.  Practising ‘inner’ forgiveness will bring a sense of inner peace. Pranic Healing teaches the importance of forgiveness and provides practical effective techniques to do this.

Use the science of Twin Hearts Meditation:

Scientifically proven, practising  Twin Hearts Meditation on a  regular basis helps to clear stress, anxiety and other negative emotions from our system helping us to feel more positive and allowing us to see life more clearly and accurately.  In turn, this awareness means we are less likely to respond in a negative emotional way to people around us and thus helps us to maintain healthy relationships,  a healthy mind and a healthy body.

Above all else, always try and think positively about other people. When we focus on the negative qualities of another person, we are creating negative thoughts and we will become more emotionally entangled, which can eventually have a negative impact on our physical health.
